Vh1′s The Gossip Table reported on their Oct. 14 episode that Kim Kardashian andKanye West may be looking to create their own “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” spin-off. This comes as a bit of a shock, since Kanye isn’t a huge fan of the spotlight himself! Read on for the details!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Getting New Reality Show?

While we won’t argue that a new “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” spin-off would be a great addition to the world of reality television, it is a little odd that the limelight-shy Kanye would want to star in his own show.

The Gossip Table reached out to the network regarding the possibility of a Kimye spin-off, but E! just stated that KUWTK‘s eighth season is currently airing, and the ninth season is in production. Wow! Their answer isn’t a yes, but definitely isn’t a no!

It’s been noted before that Kanye isn’t a huge fan of the spotlight, and he’s avoided being on the Kardashian’s show because of previous backlash.

“It’s not that I have an issue with the show; I just have an issue with the amount of backlash that I get,” Kanye told The New York Times in a July 2013 interview, referring to a KUWTK episode he was in where he tossed out a bunch of Kim’s clothes.

Even though Kanye might not like being in the spotlight on TV — the ratings for Kanye’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live went through the roof!

If Kanye’s infamous feud with Jimmy Kimmelshowed us anything, it’s that Kanye can really bring up ratings.

On Oct. 9, Kanye West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to hash out the twitter feud that evolved between the two on Sept. 26. When it aired, Livedrew a 1.2 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 age group demographic, which beat out both Jay Leno and David Letterman, according to the LA Times.

So does this mean more Kimye is in our futures? According to The Gossip Table, E! has the rights to any Kardashian spin-off though 2015, so we’ll have to be on the lookout!
