PHOTO: Kate Middleton: Prince George Will Follow ‘In His Father’sFootsteps’

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Tusk Awards in London on Sept. 12 where they honored individuals making huge efforts in wildlife conservation. Kate told event attendees that she has no doubt little George will be taking on his dad’s legacy

Kate Middleton and Prince William stepped out for a big appearance at the Tusk Conservancy Awards on Sept. 12 in London. At the event, the glowing new mom revealed that her newborn son Prince George will be following in dad's footsteps.

Animal conservation is a cause that Prince Will is passionate about — and he’s really sharing his enthusiasm with his young family — educating his family on his own efforts.
“I’m just learning all the time and I think George will be too. I think he’ll be following in his father’s footsteps,” kate told guests at the Tusk Awards.
George has quite the legacy to live up to — in more ways than one! Not only is the newborn prince in line for the British throne, he is next in line in a long legacy of globally-conscious family members!
The royal family has been involved in causes all around the world, but George’s dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa have all found a special connection to the wild animals of Africa. Even his grandmother Princess Diana had been hands-on with charities across Africa.

Prince William Opens Up About Hopes For Future Generations

Prince Will really got emotional about his involvement with animal conservation. Especially since becoming a dad, Will has been realizing what a future would be like for the new generation without these beautiful species — and he hopes that there will be more than the throne for his son to inherit. During a speech at the awards ceremony, Will said:
Like any new parents, our thoughts inevitably turn to the world that our child will inherit. It is unfathomable to imagine a world in which children who have been born in the past couple of months may grow up in a world in which rhinoceros have ceased to live in the wild.
Prince George sure has a great role model to look up to!
What do YOU think, HollyMoms? Do you think George will be like his dad?
