(Scroll down for video) A woman saw her son for the first time when he was over 2-years-old.
The woman, who was pregnant when she was involved in a car accident, was hospitalized in a coma.
While the woman was in the hospital, the medical staff discovered that she was four months pregnant.
Doctors told her husband that she would never fully recover. Her husband refused to abort the baby and took care of his wife. He took care of her at their home until she was ready to deliver her baby. On July 22, 2011, the woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy via caesarean section.
After spending several years in a comatose state, the 42-year-old recently regained her consciousness. As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw her 2-year-old son sitting next to her.
The woman, who is mostly paralyzed and in an almost vegetative state, will now have her young son by her side. He will help care for her. The 2-year-old boy spends most of his day talking to his mother, and he sometimes chews her food and spits it into her mouth so she can easily swallow it.
