Inside the house that funk built: Music producer Jimmy Jam's sprawling former mansion on the shores of Lake Minnetonka going for a song at $4.5million after owners foreclosed

The mansion that R&B record producer James 'Jimmy Jam' Harris built on the shores of Lake Minnteonka outside of Minneapolis, Minnestoa is now for sale with an asking price of $4,499,000.

But it could be a tear-down since the home's most recent owners went into foreclosure and the home is currently owned by JP Morgan Chase.

Mr Harris bought the lakefront property in 1987 for $420,000 and built the 22,000 square-foot home in 1991 for $11million.

A year later he sold the home for $7million.

Mr Harris was born in the Minneapolis area, the son of blues and jazz musician Cornbread Harris.

During high school he met his future songwriting and music-producing partner Terry Lewis.

The two started their careers with a band called the Time, and toured as an opener for Prince.

In the early 80s, they switched their focus to producing music and have gone on to produce 16 number one singles including Usher's 'U Remind Me' and Janet Jackson's 'All for You'.

They also produced the two-time Grammy Award winning CD Funk This for Chaka Khan. It included the Award-winning R&B track 'Disrespectful' which featured Mary J.  Blige.

His former home on Lake Minnetonka is two stories and suitable for a large family with seven bedroom and bathrooms.

The interior of the home is light and airy with an open floor-plan and white walls.

Features include a large master suite with it's own wing of offices. The master bathroom has it's own walk-in shower room.

The home also comes with an indoor pool for the winter months when it's too cold to swim in the backyard lake.

For lazier days, the house has an in-home movie theater with raised seating so no accidentally blocks the screen during Monday Night Football.

The home is being listed by Scott and Candi Stabeck of Edina Realty.

Last but not the least, is the incredibly gorgeous mother of one, known to all as Juliet Ibrahim. Some have said she's the Prettiest actress in Ghana. They might just be right.

Apparently the wedding Fatiha train began yesterday, Friday, September 13, 2013. While most people were thinking the event was all of today, Saturday, September, 2013 some major part of the 2 days event took place yesterday. Prior to this week there had been the bridal party though.

Dila & Nalla (Bride had her henna done, which is the body decoration common amongst the Northerners & some other tribes round the world, amidst drumming etc)- 11:00 am - 12 noon.

Walima (a wedding reception after the Nikah, where Islamic preaching about women's role in Islam is mostly done) -  2:00pm  - 5pm (venue-ThisDay Dome)

Wushe Wushe -(the Cultural night, here the dress code for the bridesmaids was blue & black Wagambari)-8:30 pm (venue-ThisDay Dome)

Dress Code was- White Laffaya/veil, which was for the mothers & sisters and most guests. 

Then the Programme of event for today, Saturday, September 14, 2013 goes as follows:

Kalatul (Bridal Hair Wash)- 11 am.

Kususuram(Exchange of Gift/Lete-this is the suitcases of clothes, shoes etc presented to the wife (the friends & some family members would collect and check out the gifts)- 2:00 pm.

Fero Zayeta/ Kalawa/ Presentation of bride in Cultural Attire. Here she would wear gorgeous Kanuri attire and with plenty of Gold as a show-off - 5:00pm.

Fero Gota (Conveyance of bride to her new home)- 6:00pm.

So as we speak now. The Bridal Hair Washing is on going.  

There would be an exclusive Dinner later on tonight at the International Conference Center, Abuja after all the traditional wedding rite must have ended. The wedding photographer we hear is the one & only Kelechi Amadi-Obi, while the day's MC is the Julius 'the Genius' Agwu.

After being MIA at most recent events, Mrs Clifford Sule made a chic return for the launch of High Flyers Magazine in Lagos.

For the event which took place at Rhapsody’s, Victoria Island, the movie star arrived in a sleeveless grey lace peplum top and matching skirt.

She styled her outfit  with gold stud earrings, her wedding band, a leopard-print clutch and a pair of grey platforms. She finished her look with an up do and neutral lipstick.

Tony Blair kissed his eldest son before sending him off into the church as wedding bells tolled.

Groom-to-be Euan looked somewhat embarrassed as the former prime minister clutched his cheeks in a final blessing, and mother Cherie looked on.

Meanwhile, his fiancée Suzanne arrived with her father, radiant in a strapless white gown and royal blue stilettoes - with banned stepmother Sian Lloyd nowhere to be seen.

During the long months of planning, who would blame Cherie Blair if she had, on occasion, got lost in misty-eyed reveries when contemplating her son Euan’s wedding this afternoon.

The venue is South Pavilion, the Blairs' £5.75 million Grade I-listed mansion in the lush Buckinghamshire countryside.

And the blushing bride, Suzanne Ashman, 25, could not be any more suitable. 

Pretty and brainy, she is an Oxford graduate with a multi-millionaire father. 

Then there is a guest-list that includes royalty — an Italian prince and his wife. What could possibly go wrong?

Sadly, when it comes to family weddings, giddy expectation so often gives way to fraught reality.

To start with, Cherie has been fretting about the weather. Rather optimistically, it seems, she had been relying on the sun shining on her 170 guests as they mill around in the vast garden during the four-hour gap between the 3.45pm service and the start of dinner in a specially-erected marquee. 

All this week, she has been glued to her iPad, looking at weather forecasts which have ominously predicted that the heavens are expected to open.

How, she has asked friends, is everyone going to shelter from the rain in the giant tent while the caterers are trying to lay tables?

And that is not the half of it. Yesterday, the Mail revealed that the bride’s stepmother, TV weathergirl Sian Lloyd, was mysteriously barred from the wedding after a tearful row with the bride over comments made about her mother, Sedef Altinsoy.

‘I don’t think Sian meant anything by it, but Suzanne was in floods of tears,’ a source said.

‘It’s just the sort of typical misunderstanding that happens in the run-up to a big wedding. Everyone thought the issue would settle down but Suzanne said she didn’t want Sian at the wedding.’

Among their guests is the Italian Prince Girolamo Strozzi and his wife Irina, sources claim.

A friend of the family, he became headline news in 2006 when Blair was PM and accepted a freebie holiday with the prince’s family — one of several the Blairs have taken with them — at his 16th-century Tuscan palace Villa Cusona, set in the hills of Chianti near the walled town of San Gimignano.

In May, an Italian magistrate took possession of the estate over an ongoing fraud inquiry, though the 75-year-old aristocrat denies any wrongdoing.

Yesterday Friday 13th September 2013, Nollywood actress Monalisa Chinda turned a year older.

The movie star celebrated her day with a few close friends including Kate Henshaw, Joseph Benjamin andSegun Arinze. For the party, Mona looked pretty in a black-and-white print wrap dress. She styled the dress with a gold ring and bracelet. Long dark locks and red lipstick completed her look.

D’banj a.k.a Bangalee is making waves.

The Nigerian pop star’s latest album D’King’s Men was reviewed on The New York Times yesterday Friday 13th September 2013.

D’Banj is one of the great African pop stars of the past decade, a charming singer but, more important, a savvy showman. For years, this Nigerian singer was at the center of the Mo’ Hits Records stable, but now he’s struck out on his own with a new label and the compilation “D’Banj Presents DKM (D’ King’s Men)” (DB/G.O.O.D./Sony).

It’s an alluring contemporary pop album with an emphasis on king-size dance music, like the militarily efficient “Don’t Tell Me Nonsense” and the flash of last year’s excellent smash hit “Oliver Twist.” D’Banj is also a savvy synthesizer of the old and new Africa, as on “Nous les Meilleurs (We the Best),” a duet with the Congolese singer Fally Ipupa. But really, D’Banj has his eye on the world; he’s signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint, and the lovely “Scape Goat (The Fix)” features what’s certainly the most cheerful version of Mr. West you’ll hear this year, or any year.

They've been living with her mother Kris Jenner for several weeks now. 

But it seems it may almost be time for new parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to move into their very own multi-million dollar Bel Air dream home.

The couple, minus their baby daugther North, were seen visiting the $11m abode on Thursday. 

Kim, 32, looked incredible as she showed off her post-baby body in an all-white outfit of a sheer vest top and tight-fitting jeans for the trip around the property.

The newly-blonde reality star finished off her look with flip-flops and shades, looking every inch the yummy mummy for the outing. 

Meanwhile, Kanye, 36, was seen wearing jeans, boots and a blue sweater, with several gold chains, as he joined Kim at their soon-to-be home. 

Before heading into the house, Kim and Kanye were seen standing on the street surveying the property as they chatted to a man who appeared to be the project manager overseeing the renovation.

Clearly having active roles in planning the refit, Kim looked deep in conversation with the man as Kanye stood nearby, happy to let his girlfriend do the talking. 

The pair were joined by a five-person entourage for the trip around the mansion, after arriving in their $750,000 Lamborghini Aventador.

Construction on the home had been delayed last month, pushing back the new family's move in date after Kim welcomed baby North West into the world on June 15.

The luxurious home (below) - which Kim bought in July for $10,750,000, according to Trulia - has been been gutted, as the couple seek to put their own stamp on it.

The stunning Mediterranean-style mansion came complete with wrought-iron staircases, chandeliers and 'old world' fittings, which have already been ripped out.

Despite buying the house brand new, Kim is said to have ran into many problems with the electric, water and heating systems in the house and had to completely rewire the place.

The home sits in a private gated community in the exclusive California suburb of Bel Air, and occupies 10,000 square feet.

Fittings and furnishings are set to be plush with the couple splashing out £487,000 on four gold-plated toilets and an incredible £750,000 on six special-edition luxury beds.

The couple have enlisted the services of the company that supplies beds to London’s exclusive Savoy Hotel.

Only 60 of the luxury items were ever created in honour of Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, meaning Kimye are among a very exclusive group

The bed, the headboard and the canopy are all covered in the same decadent gold silk used to create iconic Hermes ties, equating to some 1,600 miles of thread in total.

Alistair Hughes, managing director of Savoir Beds, said: 'As a rule we never discuss clients’ particular orders. Suffice to say, with a bed like this Kim and Kayne will have little excuse to leave their bedroom.'

In splashing out on the lavish beds, the pair will join the likes of Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Elton John and Oprah Winfrey, who are all proud owners of the luxury items.

Last month, It was also revealed that the couple had also forked out a whopping $750,000 on four gold-plated toilets for their sprawling abode.

The pair had planned to add an extra 4,000 feet to complete their dream home, according to TMZ.

A source told the website the new home will be ‘an Italian-style villa, with a gym, movie theater, full hair and make-up salon, bowling alley, basketball court, indoor and outdoor pool.’

Not forgetting a nursery of course.

The stunning infinity pool is visible in aerial shots of the property, which also has a pool house and large grassy lawn.

The mansion also has a grand driveway and dramatic entrance, as well as plenty of windows to let in the light and a spacious garage.

The pair will join A-list neighbour Jennifer Aniston, Los Angeles Clippers basketball player Chris Paul, and founder of the Girls Gone Wild entertainment franchise Joe Francis as the famous names in the neighborhood.
