Hazard was the hero, the 23-year-old producing a virtuoso performance and taking his goal tally for the season to 14 with an impressive treble. The Belgian opened the scoring midway through the first half with an emphatic finish and his second quickly followed as he rounded off a superb Chelsea breakaway after 34 minutes.
That ended the game as a contest but the former Lille man applied the gloss to a fine display with a penalty just after the hour mark.

A group of soldiers in the Central African Republic lynched a man they suspected was a rebel minutes after hearing the new president's promise to restore security at a ceremony to reinstate the divided country's armed forces.

About 20 uniformed soldiers accused a member of the crowd of having belonged to Seleka - the mostly Muslim rebel group that seized power in a coup last March, before stabbing him repeatedly until he was dead.

A soldier stamped on the lifeless body, which was then dragged nearly naked through the streets as residents looked on and took photographs.

Mourinho was right to sell Mata - Leboeuf

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes Jose Mourinho was right to sell Juan Mata, revealing that he was not "a big fan" of the Spaniard.

Two women have been arrested and jailed for trafficking children and making them beg on the streets of Lagos with fake wounds.

The Family Court 1 in Yaba Magistracy has jailed two women for trafficking and using children to beg for alms in Victoria Island area of Lagos.

The women, Amarachi Eke from Imo State and Chioma Eze from Awka in Anambra State, were arraigned at the court on Wednesday on a two-count charge of using underaged children to beg for alms. And they pleaded guilty to the charges.

Man Sets House On Fire After Being Banned From Masturbating (GRAPHICCONTENT!)

A man allegedly torched his own apartment in retaliation for being banned from masturbating in front of open windows.
Kenneth Haskins was told by his building's managers to "stop performing sex acts" in full view of his neighbours.
However, believing the ban was "unfair", the 58-year-old then tried to burn the property to the ground, it is reported.
Haskins - who is severely disfigured after a shotgun accident years before - was charged with arson after fire investigators found flammable liquids had been used in both the kitchen and the bedroom to accelerate the flames.
A total of 28 apartments were evacuated during the blaze. While smoke and fire damage was contained to Haskins's apartment, two other properties sustained water damage, leaving four people homeless, fire rescue officials said.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has justified blowing the whistle on the purported missing cash from the Federation Account.

According to Sanusi, if courting controversy will lead to improved governance and transparency, he's okay by it.

Paul Walker's will was poorly drafted ... making it SEEM like he wanted his mom to wrestle parental control of his daughter from his baby mama--  yet in a strange twist of events, the will now reflects exactly what Paul would have wanted.

Paul's will was drafted back in 2001 ... and it makes his mother Cheryl the legal guardian of Meadow. It reeks of a family feud because there's no mention of Meadow's mother Rebecca Soteros.  

The guardianship clause doesn't make sense ... because at the time the will was drafted Meadow lived with her mom in Hawaii .... and sources close to Paul say he was happy with the arrangement when

GUILTY! Former Olympic Athlete To Spend The Rest Of Life In Jail

Former Nigerian Olympic athlete, has been sentenced to life in prison in South Africa for the murder of 26-year-old Channelle Henning.
The sportsman, who took part in the Souelle Olympic game in 1988, is accused of killing Henning as she drove out after dropping her young son at the Morning Star Montessori Preschool in Faere Glen, East Pretoria South Africa on the 8th of November 2011.
According to the reports, Monye and another accomplice, Andre Gouws, also sentenced to life in prison, were contracted to kill the woman by her estranged husband.

A baby born with little blood in her body has survived in Florida.

Orange County resident Jennifer Juarez gave birth to Hope, who appeared to be ghost white due to a rare condition called fetal-maternal hemorrhage, back in December 2013. After losing 80 percent of her blood during an emergency C-section, Hope was rushed into surgery and given a blood transfusion.

During the pregnancy, Hope would kick frequently and when she suddenly stopped, Jennifer knew something was wrong.

Mr. Ajudua and his co-defendant Charles Orie are facing trial for defrauding Remy Cina and Pierre Vijgen, two European businessmen, of $1.69 million (N287 million).
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is accusing Messrs Ajudua, Orie, Rasheed Adekunle, Abisola Fawehinmi, and Stephen Joiner (the last three are still at large) of committing the crime between 1999 and 2000.
