If you thought potentially bi-curious George was in it for the money, honey, you had better think again!
In the new issue of Variety, cover boy George Clooney made a super shocking financial disclosure. Apparently he and hisMonuments Men co-stars took SEVERE pay cuts to ensure the film could get produced with a somewhat modest budget.
He admitted:
So George, Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, and the others supposedly only made about 10-15% of their regular rate!!“If you pay everybody a full boatload, it’s a $150 million film. You just can’t do it. Everybody worked for super cheap, like crazy cheap.”
Wow!! G. Cloo and his troupe of A-list thespians basically worked for PEANUTS!
Mmm, metaphorical nuts! The second best kind to put in one's mouth! But we digress...
As generous as it was of these actors to work for less than their normal rate, they probz won't be waiting in line at the Beverly Hills soup kitchen any time soon. Most reportedly negotiated backend deals that will net them a ton of cash should the film turn a profit.
