Jay Z To Donate To The Marina Abramovic Institute

Jay Z has pledged to make a financial contribution to Marina Abramovic's new art institute.
As reported by Complex, Roc Nation spokeswoman Jana Fleishman has confirmed that Jay Z will be making a donation to the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI) in New York. Abramovic is a celebrated Yugoslavian performance artist who was seen pressing her forehead against Hov's during his "Picasso Baby" performance piece at The Pace Gallery in NYC a few months ago.

The two apparently had a meeting before the performance during which Jay pledged to contribute to her new institute, which is scheduled to open in 2015 after the complete renovation of an abandoned theatre at 620 Columbia Street, Hudson, New York. Abramovic's office director Giuliano Argenziano told the Gallerist that although no dollar amount was discussed, they're confident Jay will honour his promise. They've already reached their Kickstarter goal of $600,000.
That's all for now, folks. Peep Hov's "Picasso Baby" performance piece above:
