Chris Brown was taken into custody on Thursday by U.S. Marshals and he will be taken to Washington, D.C. later this week for his assault pre-trial, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
Brown’s legal troubles in California stem from his conviction in the 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, for which he’s still on probation.
However, Brown, 24, will now be taken to Washington where he was arrested last Oct. and charged with felony assault after an altercation with a fan outside the local W Hotel.
A hearing is set for Monday and if the charges are not dismissed, Brown will stay in a Washington jail until his trial begins on April 17.
