The Brazil international faces a race against time to be fit for Barcelona's Champions League last-16 first leg at Manchester City on Feb. 18.
The best-case scenario would see Neymar, whose summer transfer from Santos is still being looked into by court investigators in Madrid, return versus Sevilla at the beginning of February.
