CHAN: Keshi is Africa’s best coach but I want to beat him - Ghana Coach

Coach Maxwell Konadu of the Ghana Black Stars on Tuesday said that the respect he had for the Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, would not distract his team from their objective.
Konadu said at a pre-match media briefing at the Bloemfontein Stadium, South Africa, that he would not allow Keshi’s intimidating pedigree to stop him and his team on Wednesday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the two West African neighbours and football rivals, would trade tackles in one the semi-final matches of the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“I quite agree that Keshi is currently the best coach in Africa; but I will want to add that football does not always follow logic.
“Sometimes the best coach loses, and we cannot rule that out in tomorrow’s match.
“Some of the best coaches who came to this tournament have been sent packing with their teams, because they crashed out earlier than expected.
“I respect Keshi and all he has been doing for Nigerian football in recent times.
“But talking about tomorrow’s match, you can be a good coach and on a day your players are not playing well, there is nothing you can do,’’ he said.
The match between the Super Eagles and the Black Stars would kickoff at 7.30 p.m. Nigerian time, at the Bloemfontein Stadium, in the Free State Province. (NAN)
