Ali Hussain, a 14-year-old boy from Bihar has been left with the body of 110-year-old due to a rare a disease called Progeria.
Progeria- which ages the body so rapidly that its victims die before they have barely experienced youth. The sufferers of the disease age eight time faster than any normal human being.
The disease, which is known to affect just 80 people worldwide, has already claimed lives of Hussain's five siblings.
Two of his brothers and three of his sisters have already died from the disease.
Hussain's parents- Nabi Hussain Khan (50) and Razia (46) had eight children in total and out of them they have two healthy daughters - Sanjeeda (20), who is married with two children and the youngest daughter Chanda (10), who also does not have Progeria.
In 1983, Nabi and Razia had their first child, Rehana and they had no idea of any such thing until her second birthday when she couldn't eat or walk properly.
The local doctors couldn't diagnose the exact cause and sent them home with some medicines.
Two years later when their first son Iqramul was born and showed the same symptoms, the family went back to the doctor.
But again, the doctors, who had never heard of any such disease, sent them back with general medicines.
After visiting several local doctors in the state, Nabi, who works as a gatekeeper at a factory earning Rs. 2,000 per month visited a consultant in Kolkata in 1995, who finally diagnosed the four of their children with Progeria.
Hussain is the family's only surviving child with Progeria after his elder brother Ikramul, who died four years ago.
Ali and his family are now supported by a Kolkata-based charity called SB Devi Charity, which pays for Hussain's all the medical expenses.
The 14-year-old now spends most of his time with family after he had stopped going to school some years ago after the daily taunting from his schoolmates about his looks.
