It can be a battle of thoughts when move forward with your life after your wife dies from cancer but one woman made the path so much easier to walk for her widower…2 years after her death.
Brenda Schmitz had a long battle with ovarian cancer that eventually took her life a couple years ago, but she’s still able to touch her loved ones after her death. She wrote a letter to her husband’s new fiancée to give her the stamp of approval for being his new wife.
Brenda sent the letter to a friend to keep until her husband fell for another woman, which she would then give to radio station KSTZ in Iowa who would read it on the air to her hubby. In the letter, she also includes that she wants to give the new lady in his life a trip to the spa to help her relax!
The letter read:
‘When you are in receipt of this letter, I will have already lost my battle to ovarian cancer,’ Brenda wrote. ‘I told [my friend] once my loving husband David had moved on in his life and had met someone to share his life with again, to mail this letter to all of you at the station.‘She deserves it,’ Brenda wrote. ‘Being a step-mother to all those boys, and especially giving little Max a mother’s love that only she can give. Make her smile and know her efforts are truly appreciated from me.’‘Thank you. I love you, whoever you are.”
