More than 20 people have also been injured, including two women who suffered serious burns
Three people have been killed and more than 20 injured after lightning struck a beach in Argentina, according to reports.
Villa Gesell beach, 200 miles south of Buenos Aires, was said to be packed with people sheltering from a storm when the lightning struck.
The BBC reports that those killed were aged 17, 19 and 21, while many of those injured had suffered burns. Two women have been seriously hurt, and are now in intensive care.
Others are said to suffered convulsions, injuries to their feet, and cardiac arrest.
Witnesses told how they heard a huge noise, before seeing some people thrown through the air by the lightning strike.
One eyewitness told Sky News: "The lightning hit and then there were people lying all over the beach.
"We ran with my father to help but it was ugly because all of them (the injured) were screaming and no one really knew what to do.
"We did what we could - it was the best that could be done."
