Beyoncé is throwing her mother a lavish 60th birthday bash.
The 'XO' hitmaker, who rented out a wildlife park in Miami for her daughter Blue Ivy's second birthday on Tuesday (07.01.14), is gearing up to host a private black-tie party for Tina Knowles in New Orleans, Louisiana on Saturday night (01.11.14).
A source told gossip website TMZ.com that the 32-year-old star, who is married to rapper Jay Z, real name Shawn Carter, has organized a $100,000 masquerade-themed ball with her younger sister, Solange, 27, at upscale eatery Muriel's Jackson Square in the French Quarter.
The black and gold invitation for the event reads: "Solange Knowles and Beyoncé Carter cordially invite you to share in an enchanted evening in New Orleans, to celebrate the birthday of their mother Tina Knowles, in the tradition of an old New Orleans masquerade party."
The invite warns that guests are required to arrive in black-tie and must wear a mask to enter the party.
It also suggests: "Be creative and add to the mystery of you'd like."
The sisters are extremely close to their mother, who previously acted as a stylist for Destiny's Child and runs a clothing line, House of Deréon, with her older daughter.
Tina, who split from the girls' father Matthew Knowles in 2009 and divorced him in December 2011 after 31 years of marriage, has been dating 'V' actor Richard Lawson, 66, since last year.
