In 1976 at age 22, Winfrey became co-anchor of Baltimore's WJZ-TV 6 o'clock news program.
The Actor
Winfrey made her acting debut in 1985 as Sofia in The Color Purple. More recently she's lent her voice to Charlotte's Web, Bee Movie and The Princess and the Frog.
The TV Host
