Chelsea returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Fulham at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues came into the game on the back of defeats to Everton and Basel, and for a long chunk of the contest the frustration looked set to continue.
Samuel Eto’o flashed a shot wide after beating his marker to a low cross, while Eden Hazard was denied what looked a penalty by referee Andre Marriner following a tangle with Sascha Riether.
Darren Bent had a big chance to make the Chelsea natives extremely restless when breaking in on goal, but he shot tamely at Petr Cech.
Chelsea wandered down the tunnel at the break to the sound of boos from a section of the Stamford Bridge faithful, but they eased the tension with a goal on 52 minutes.
Andre Schurrle beat Riether before whipping in a cross. Fulham keeper David Stockdale failed to collect, and the ball fell to Oscar who stroked it into the empty net.
The points were sealed five minutes from time when John Obi Mikel broke his long scoring duck, which stretched over 250 games, when volleying home after John Terry had nodded a corner into his path.
