Kanye West has already designed the entire men's collection for adidas. In an interview with Chicago's Morning Riot, Ye talked about how he went to Germany to meet with adidas and churned out the debut men' line, women's line, and 20 different shoes.
"I just got back from Germany. It was one of the greatest creative days of my life. We designed the entire women's collection. We designed the entire men's collection. And we designed 20 shoes. We coming in September and it’s about to be a paradigm shift."
He also let it be known that some future work with Louis Vuitton might be developing. Yeezy explained, "The black dollar is worth $863 billion right now. It's gonna be worth $1.1 trillion by 2015. In the same way how, if Louis Vuitton wants to attack the Asian market, they might get an Asian designer. I believe that they need an African-American representative, and I'll be very fine to go ahead and step into those shoes."
And in addition to the adidas collection dropping in September, it looks like Kanye's making moves early in 2014 as well. According to Ye, "Now I'm actually taking a meeting with Louis Vuitton in January." We're sure that Kanye will make his design aspirations with LV well-known at the meeting.
Towards the end of the interview, Kanye signed off with a few words aimed at Nike: "I'm at adidas. The game is flipped. Already. There ain't nobody y'all can run to. There ain't nowhere you could hide right now."
