The quartet of Nigerian Seun Kuti, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid and Ice Prince failed to pick up an award at the MOBO Awards held in Scotland. The four Nigerian music artistes were nominated alongside Ghanaian Fuse ODG and five others in the Best African Act category.
Eventually, Fuse ODG emerged the winner of the awards, leaving others to boast of being only a nominee of the 2013 edition of the awards.
The other five nominees in the same category were Mafikizolo, Atumpan, Bombino, Spoek Mthambo and Liquideep,
Fuse ODG became popular with his smash hit single, 'Azonto'. Its dance step later became the preferred until Iyanya came up with the 'Etighi' dance step, common with the Akwa Ibom people of Nigeria.
The MOBO awards held yesterday at the Hydrow, Glasgow, Scotland.
