*Reality TV might be the biggest privacy sellout of all time, but you’ve got to give it credit for at least one thing: Bringing people out of the woodwork and giving them purpose. Where on earth would some of these people have ended up, if not for a paycheck from reality TV.
According to Singersroom.com, the 90′s group Xscape will reportedly come together on an episode of Bravo’s hit reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Details on the alleged reunion are sketchy right now; and we don’t know if the group is about to reunite and perform or just sit and talk about why they split up in the first place; but either way…we’ll take it!
As most know, group member Kandi Burruss alleged the other group members lied on her saying she slept with Jermaine Dupri‘s daddy to get more time singing lead.
Since disbanding in 1998 after their hit album “Traces of My Lipstick,” Burruss found success as a songwriter and is now a cast member on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Tameka “Tiny” Harris has become a reality star in her own right after appearing on BET’s “Tiny & Toya” and now on VH1′s “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.” LaTocha Scott was most recently on the second season of “R&B Divas Atlanta” while her sister Tamika has acted in a few Tyler Perry stage productions and continues to write songs for Perry’s films.
Hopefully, these women will choose to turn a once poisonous situation into medicine and create something good from this opportunity; because back in the day, they were the sh*t!!!
