Paul Walker passed away in a tragic car explosion on Sunday, November 30. Reports now suggest that the "Fast and Furious" star will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, CA. Reps confirm that a "global tribute" will be held sometime this weekend to honor the late actor. Meanwhile, close friends and family (including Walker's 15-year-old daughter Meadow) are planning an intimate ceremony to remember the life and legacy of Walker.
According to the New York Daily News, the famed cemetary picked up 40-year-old Walker's remains from the LA County Coroner's Office on Monday (Dec. 9) following an autopsy last week. Funeral arrangements were underway on Tuesday.
The LA County Coroner's Office recently announced that the official cause of death was combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries.
Forest Lawn Memorial Park is the final resting place of several other inconic celebrities including Brittany Murphy, John Ritter and David Carradine among many others.
"All of the funeral details are still being worked out" for this weekend, a source tells E! News. The insider adds that Walker's teenage daughter Meadow is doing "as well as can be expected. She is a little lost right now and is spending a lot of time with her close friends."
