While visiting the Power 106 radio station in Los Angeles earlier this week, pop superstar Justin Bieber announced his retirement from music. Whether or not this is actually true, the singer also revealed some more news that was overshadowed by the aforementioned announcement. Justin said that he is still in love with his ex-girlfriend, actress and singer Selena Gomez.
Though Bieber might have dropped the retirement bombshell on the show, he was really there to promote his new single "All That Matters." When asked about the backstory of the song, he admitted that it was about Gomez and their relationship.
I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," he explained. "'All That Matters' was written when I was in a great place in my relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life."
He continued: "[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both of us. But, you know, she's a great woman. I love her till this day."
Though Justin's feelings might not be too surprising since he has talked about her on a number of occasions after their break up earlier this year, a new development in his residential situation has become pretty interesting.
According to a source, Gomez could be Justin's new neighbor!
"Selena is very close to making an offer on a house inside the Calabasas development where Justin lives," an insider said. "She looked at other neighborhoods, but really fell in love with a home near Justin's."
