Who's the projectionist at this movie theater? Tyler Durden?!
A movie theater in Pinellas Park, Florida was shocked and horrified when a roughly two minute long sex scene came on the screen (ew, not that way), instead of Disney's Frozen.
Already experiencing delays with the film, the theater decided to play an animated short while the audience waited, but according to one grandparent there with her grandchildren, something far more sexual went up (ew, not that way):
"They put in the filler, it looked like Steamboat Willie, the old Mickey Mouse cartoon, and then all of a sudden it goes into this other scene. It seemed like forever when you're trying to, you know, cover a little guy's eyes. I didn't have enough hands to cover his ears too and he got the sound down real good. You're talking, what, a PG-rated movie to all of a sudden have an R-rated scene up there for little children? My concern is that there should be safeguards in place so that this doesn't happen again."The cinema offered free tickets in compensation, but we wonder if they can adequately refund the lost innocence of hundreds of kids wanting to see a fuh-reaking cartoon!!!
They wanted 3D graphics, not graphic triple Ds!
A spokesperson over at Regal Cinemas said that their staff is working s this never happens again. Although it's unsure what scene played instead, it has been suggested that it was the extended trailer for Nymphomaniac.
Looks like parents had a lot of unnecessary explaining to do on the ride home.
