The prayer of good fathers is to have children who will be more successful than them. If the statement recently made by the boss of Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), Banky W is to be taken seriously, then the RnB singer might be categorized as a good father or leader.
In an interview with a music station recently, Banky W stated that he prays to have artistes that will excel more than Wizkid, who is also singed under EME.
The America returnee disclosed this while reacting to a question raised on the rumoured exit of Wizkid from his label. In the heat of the reports, the young singer went ahead to form his own label, Star Boy Records.
Banky W said, "bad news is more interesting to people than good news and when you don’t give people bad news, they just find a way to create it just to get traffic to their website or sell their newspapers. Contrary to what was reported, Wiz (kid) never actually left (EME). We understood that we had to restructure because he was getting bigger.
"He now has his imprint called ‘Star Boy’, which is normal. Jay Z signed Kanye (West), who now has G.O.O.D Music. Everything is fine, Wiz (Kid) is still with the team. I am very proud of him and I pray that all of my artistes will grow as far as Wizkid and even more."
