This Friday will mark 50 years since the assassination of President John F Kennedy.
His death in Dallas on November 22 1963 - and the images of it that were flashed around the globe - became one of the defining moments in 20th century history, with many able to remember exactly where they were the moment they heard the news or saw those pictures for the first time.
For journalist Hugh Aynesworth, he was closer to the story than he could ever have imagined - witnessing the assassination, the violent arrest of killer Lee Harvey Oswald and his murder by Jack Ruby.
Bill Newman and his family were also just yards away from the assassination, diving for cover when the shots rang out.
Now, as we prepare to mark half a century since that day, we'd like to hear where you were when you heard the news that changed the course of American history, or saw those images that we now know so well.
What are your memories of that day, and how did it impact you?
