Listen to Eddie Murphy’s New Single ‘Promise (You Won’t Break My Heart)’

Based on what we’re hearing from his forthcoming album, Eddie Murphy is really starting to get this music thing down pat. Listen above to “Promise (You Won’t Break My Heart),” the second single from the album, 9 which will be released in spring, 2014. 

According to its press release: “9 highlights the range of Murphy’s musical talent, which encompasses a wealth of influences that zips across a wide variety of music genres, making 9 a seamless album filled with fearless creativity and innovation.”

“Promise (You Won’t Break My Heart)” is a soulful, slow dancing, R&B ballad composed of sensual, soft vocals and seductive, sentimental guitars. It is the second single released from 9 after “Red Light,” a reggae track featuring Snoop Lion.

The cut will be serviced to radio stations starting today and will be available on iTunes December 3.
