Former Arsenal transfer target Luis Suarez has done what Arsene Wenger's side have failed to do - win silverwear at the Emirates.
The Liverpool striker was in north London for the Football Supporters' Federation (FSF) Awards, where he won the prize for the FSF Player of the Year, picking up the gong in person, in Arsenal's backyard.
The Uruguayan was subject to a £40,000,001 bid from Arsene Wenger in the summer, as the Gunners boss looked to take advantage of a rumoured release clause, but Liverpool were quick to reject it.
Suarez was nominated alongside Leighton Baines, Christian Benteke, Juan Mata, Robin van Persie and Pablo Zabaleta, with more than 500,000 people voting in the award.
After accepting the award, Suarez said that he texted club team-mate Steven Gerrard immediately after England and Uruguay were drawn together in next summer's World Cup.
"We laughed," he said. "It's unbelievable. It's a very difficult group."
