Gabriela Isler Wins Miss Universe 2013

Miss Universe Gabriela Isler

It started with 86 ladies, but on Nov. 9 the panel of judges narrowed it down to one beautiful, lucky winner. After all the girls from every corner of the world showed off their best beauty, evening, and swimsuit looks at Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Gabriela Isler was named 2013′s Miss Universe!

Gabriela Isler is officially on top of the universe after being crowned Miss Universe 2013! The flamenco dancer triumphed over women from 85 other countries — that tiara must feel amazing on her head! —  to inherit the crown from Olivia Culpo from the United States. So, do you think Gabriela deserved to win?

Gabriela Isler Wins Miss Universe 2013

The gorgeous 25-year-old from Venezuela certainly grabbed the judges and audience’s attention with her magnetic, stunning looks throughout the night. She stole the show in a stunning dress during the evening wear segment of the contest.
She then rocked our socks off by looking totally sexy — but also elegant — in a teeny-tinyYamamay bikini, dancing to Panic! At the Disco‘slive performance! We also saw incredible performances from Emin and Steven Tyler, through the show.
During the evening gown segment, Gabriela was the first to rock a long-sleeved gown. She even co-designed the flawless silver gown.
Some other contestants like runner up Patricia Rodrigues from Spain and Miss USA, Erin Brady, also made fabulous appearances, but we really think Gabriela earned her crown. Venezuela must be so proud — the country has won three of the last six Miss Universe pageants!
After winning, the new winner, who works on Venezuela’s Venevision television, looked completely shocked as tears of euphoria streamed down her cheek.
When Olivia put the sash and tiara on her head, it was clearly a huge moment in her life — the tiara even fell off her head because she was so surprised, but she caught it in her hands! So cute!

Oliva Culpo: Miss Universe 2012 Explains How Her Life Changed

We hope Gabriela is ready for her life to change completely. After U.S. native Olivia took home the crown in 2012, she told HollywoodLife.com that things were never the same — especially when it came to dating!
“They don’t see Miss Universe at first, and then there’s always that awkward moment when they find out, and you have to think, ‘this is a little uncomfortable,’” she told us. “I don’t know if they like me or they just think it’s cool so they can tell their friends that they’re talking to Miss Universe. But to me I’m still just Olivia, and I’m going to continue thinking that, instead of the title!”
Hopefully Gabriela doesn’t have any dating troubles. (We’re thinking she won’t.)
What do you think, Are you happy Gabriela won Miss Universe? If not, who do you think should have won? Let us know!
