Charlie Sheen may be at the center of a sex tape/kidnapping scandal but it obviously hasn't turned him into a Grinch this holiday season ... 'cause TMZ has learned the actor dropped a ton of dough to help out the Philippines.
Sources close to the Warlock tell us Sheen donated $25k this week to the PREDA Foundation -- an org. working to help those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines.
We're told the money is being used to locate children lost in the typhoon ... as well as food for shelters.
The org. is also dedicated to protecting children from sex trafficking.
As you may recall ... Charlie dropped $10k on the fight to end epilepsy earlier this month as well.
Gotta give the guy credit.
